More than 25 years of experience in the environmental field and waste management, in both legal framework elaboration and implementation. As public servant within the Ministry of Economy, Environmental Protection Directorate responsible on waste management among other duties. In 2007 she chooses to work in private sector and she joined the team of the first Packaging Recovery Organization in Romania, where was involved in Extended Producer Responsibility Alliance (EXPRA) activity as member of the Board and as a Chair of Technical Working Group (2013 – 2015) and in the same period was also member of ISWA, active in Legal Issues and Governance Working Group. Starting 2016 she worked as consultant and trainer on waste management. For about 3 years she worked for an environmental NGO. Currently she is Director of Federation of Intercommunity Development Associations on waste management.

I have established the 1st EPR scheme in Romania, Eco-Rom Ambalaje, and led its development for over a decade(2004-2014) as Chairman of the Board, representing Coca-Cola Hellenic(CCH). I have led obliged producers’ efforts in developing EPR-relevant legislation(2001 – 2014), with a specific mandate in my position of Public Affairs and Communications Manager for CCH. As of 2018 I have been advising FMCG companies in Central Asia, Caucasus and the Middle East on waste management topics. Beyond regulatory expertise, I have an interest in the operational impacts of new green policy initiatives and in catalysing the change of the operational framework through public affairs and public relations initiatives.
